| The weeks prior to the trip to Belfast, N. Ireland I was anxious and consumed in the nerves of international travel. I have helped out with hurricane relief a few times before, in Galveston, TX and New Orleans, LA; but have never gone on a mission trip out of country. The few days leading up to the trip I felt this calming feeling over my mindset concerning the trip. I had been praying for some guidance. | This mission trip was an incredible experience for me.....it began that way long before we actually left for Ireland when I cried out.... "God, I don't understand. I really wanted to go on this trip... I felt called to go... why didn't you provide a way for me? God, I want to go to Ireland and serve You!" Only a few hours later, I received a phone call from Ben that, to this day, still gives me chills when I think about it..... Read more |
